If Famous Songs Were Turned Into Buildings…

Barcelona-based architect and illustrator Federico Babina, whom we have featured previously, has created a new series of illustrations, in which famous songs have been transformed into buildings.

Titled ‘Archimusic’, Babina takes the music, lyrics, rhythms from each song and turns them into a fictional building.

“The idea was to tell a story starting from the soundtrack, listen to the music and imagine the shapes hidden behind it,” Babina toldDezeen

The collection features 27 songs by popular musicians from various genres. For example, there is Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean and The Beatles’ Let It Be

Check out some of the illustrations below or view the full serieshere

So What by Miles Davis

Bohemian Rhapsody by Freddie Mercury

Let It Be by The Beatles

Billie Jean by Michael Jackson

Requiem by Mozart

Space Oddity by David Bowie

The Mad Cyberpunk Dreams of BoneFace

all-thats-interesting:

Four characters by Boneface, UK Artist

If you’ve ever wanted to drop yourself directly into an Akira-esque, post-apocalyptic battleground, this is your chance. BoneFace’s work is equal parts cyberpunk and pop art, replete with revving engines, blood, guts, and DayGlo colors. It’s as if every piece was drawn with the tail of an Arizona Bark Scorpion; the work has that kind of sting.
